PROJECT ASSISTANT


There is no long story here. Sound United Podcast Studio started as a dream and was built with grit, integrity, and passion by three dedicated people - we expect these three attributes from all team members.

We are currently seeking the right candidates to join our audio storytelling team.

Under the leadership of our production team, this position provides skilled support in several areas: on-location audio recording, research, creative services, and pre-production services.

The majority of projects will be community-based; meaning nonprofit storytelling, and awareness campaigns to support local initiatives.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the ideation and project planning

  • Operate on-location recording equipment 

  • Assist in pre and post-production tasks

  • Work with and learn from company leadership

  • Following health guidelines to keep clients and staff safe

Ideal Candidate:

  • GED, High school diploma or higher

  • Professional and courteous personality

  • Fast Learner, and Patient

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to execute directives promptly 

  • Ability to work independently or with a team

  • History of working in a diverse and inclusive environment

Expectations:

  • Errorless operation of equipment  

  • Integrity and solid work ethic in harmony with our team

  • Timely reporting and communications with direct report 

  • Can contribute ideas and has sound editorial judgment

  • Have fun  

A PLUS if you have…

  • Recording and post-production experience

  • Experience using a mixer to record

  • Audio editing experience, preferably with Adobe Audition

  • Knowledge of standard recording gear and practices

  • Technical skills to assist customers with remote recording

  • Critical and Well-Rounded Thinking
